Strudel with cheese


The cheese is mixed with eggs, sugar and rum essence until we get a fine cream.

For each strudel we will use 3-4 sheets of pies, which we will grease well with oil. We overlap them, put 4-5 tablespoons of the cheese composition along the sheet (like a strip), then roll. We put the rolls obtained in a tray greased with oil, next to each other.

In order for the strudel to come out soft and good, we will prepare one sauce:

Pour evenly over the strudels. Put the pan in the oven over medium heat until golden brown. Leave to cool in the pan, then portion.


Method of preparation

Prepare a dough from Arpis flour, egg yolk, sour cream and margarine. After kneading, leave it in the fridge for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, the filling is being prepared for the two types of strudel:

Peel an apple, cut it into cubes and fry in sugar, then drain and leave to cool.

The cottage cheese is crushed and mixed with eggs, sugar, raisins and vanilla essence.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two pieces.

The two pieces of dough are spread on the table and filled with sugar-hardened apples and, respectively, with cow's cheese with raisins, then rolled and baked at a medium temperature.

When the two strudels are ready, take them out of the oven and grease them with honey.

How to serve

The strudel is served with vanilla sauce and perfectly made of berries.

Nothing is better than the strudel prepared at home with a lot of love and skill. Okay, okay, the skill comes with time, but I assure you that you don't have to be an expert in cooking with these strudels. The recipe is very simple and accessible to beginners in the kitchen. Strudel Ingredients with Cheese and Cherries

300 g flour
100 g lard (or butter)
1 pinch of salt
1 yolk
fermented sour cream as it contains

Prepare the filling:

Preparation of Strudel with Cheese and Cherries :
Mix flour with lard and add salt powder, egg yolk and sour cream until it gets a homogeneous and elastic dough (I needed about 1 tablespoon of sour cream, but the amount depends on both the flour used and the fact that we use in the preparation, lard or butter). The dough obtained is divided into 4 equal parts. Each part is spread on the work surface sprinkled with flour as thin as possible in a rectangular or square shape and greased with 25 g of melted butter. Roll as tight as possible on the longer side and place the rolls on a tray and leave to cool for 2 hours. Each roll will be cut into 6-8 pieces.
Each piece on the work surface sprinkled with flour will be placed on its feet and stretched as thin as possible. It will be filled with a mixture of cheese and cherries, rolled, placed in a tray on baking paper and placed in the preheated oven. Bake the strudels over a good heat until they acquire a slightly pink color. Remove from the oven, leave to cool a bit and then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Today we have a salty strudel, with cheese and vegetables. It can be taken as a package at work, served as breakfast,

or even as lunch / dinner, along with a salad. And at parties it is a very successful aperitif.

How come:

Let the puff pastry thaw at room temperature.

We make the filling: we mix all the ingredients: sweet cheese, egg, sour cream, grated cheese, peas, bell pepper,

crushed garlic, parsley, salt, pepper.

Divide the dough into 4 pieces and place them on the baking paper. Place the filling with the spoon on the right edge of

pieces of puff pastry, then we put the left piece over the filling. Grease the edge with the quail egg

beaten (which we keep for greasing and on top) and press the edges with a fork.

We repeat the procedure for each of the 4 pieces of puff pastry.

Cut the obtained strudel diagonally (as in the picture), grease with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame, poppy seeds on top, of your choice.

The cow's cheese strudel is a dessert I love very much. I am a big lover of cheese and I like to consume it in both sweet and savory dishes. I made these strudels yesterday and it passed like hot cakes. My boys were very pleased with the result and enjoyed it with pleasure.
I made this strudel for the Secret Challenge hosted this month by Adela. The blog I received is one that I love and belongs to some beautiful and hardworking girls, the girls from Transylvanian Kitchen. It is a blog full of specific recipes, many of them from me in the area and this is a reason why you visit it with pleasure. I flipped through it almost entirely and in the end I stopped at a few recipes. It was hard for me to decide but with the help of my husband I chose this delicious strudel. It's the first time I make strudel with cheese (although I really like it) because so far I've only eaten it made by others.

ingredients
400 gr of puff pastry
600 gr cow's cheese
2 eggs husband
2 tablespoons semolina
80 gr sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
100 gr raisins / cranberries

Preparation time: 20 min. Baking time: 40 min. No servings: 8-10

The recipe is quick because I used the puff pastry I bought, but if you have enough time you can make the dough at home.
Let the puff pastry thaw in the fridge overnight or for a few hours at room temperature & # 8211 the first option is more recommended because it is good to work with cold dough. We soak the raisins in warm water for half an hour.
We mix the cheese well with eggs, sugar, semolina and vanilla sugar.
Drain the raisins well and add them to the cream cheese.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a large tray with baking paper.
Cut the puff pastry in half lengthwise and spread it a little on the narrower side. Put a piece of dough in the pan and lengthwise, in the middle, put half of the cream cheese. Grease the sides of the batter with beaten egg and then combine them on top of the cream. Turn the strudel so that it is glued down. Grease the strudel with beaten egg and from place to place make small cuts with a knife.
Do the same with the remaining dough.
Bake the strudel for 40 minutes. After 20 minutes reduce the heat to 180 degrees.
When it is nicely browned, turn off the heat and leave it to cool in the pan. Powder it with sugar and serve it with gusto. And delicious!
